Shimla, August 17
Member of the State Public Service Commission Rachna Gupta has been elevated as Chairperson of Commission. This post fell vacant after the retirement of former Chairman Ajay Kumar on August 8, 2022.
According to the notification issued by Chief Secretary RD Dhiman, three members of the Commission have also been appointed in addition to Rachna Gupta.
Two posts of members in the commission are still vacant. IAS officer Rakesh Sharma posted in the Chief Minister’s office, retired Colonel Rajesh Kumar Sharma of Dharamsala and Prof. Om Prakash Sharma from Chopal have been appointed as members. All the four have been appointed for six years or till attaining age of 62 years.
