Rackcham in Kinnaur district receives season’s first snow
Shimla, Dec 13
Rakcham village of Sangla valley in tribal Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh received first snowfall for the season in the last 24hours as other high peaks of district were also draped by a white sheet plummeting the night temperatures under subzero.
According to IMD Kalpa received 0.2 cm snowfall and Kalpa in Kinnaur had 0.1 cm snow. Rakcham village got one to two cm snowfall and its high reaches draped by five to ten cm snowfall.
Minimum temperature of Kukumesri in Lahaul Spiti was minus 7.3 degrees, Kaza minus nine and Keylong near minus six degrees, Samdhu 5.3, Kalpa in Kinnaur minus four, Reckongpeo, Narkanda minus 1.4, Manali minus 0.5, Mandi minus 0.9 and Sundernagar minus one.
Minimum temperature of Solan one, Shimla was 3.2, Jubbarhatti 3 .5, Dharamshala six degrees, Una 2.4 ,Nahan 8, Kangra 3.9, Chamba 2.2 and Dalhousie 1.5.
Minimum temperature likely to further decline in the state as couple westerlies may effect on December 15 and 16.
