The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Shimla Chapter has clinched the prestigious Best Programmer Award at the 46th All India Public Relations Conference held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, from December 20-22, 2024. Veteran PR professional Shiv Singh Chauhan, 93, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contributions to public relations.
The awards were presented by Dr. Nand Kumar Sai, Former MP and National Scheduled Tribe Commission Member, alongside Arun Sau, Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. The event also featured the launch of Shiv Singh Chauhan’s book, Himachal Pradesh: The Wonderland, published by the Shimla Chapter’s Publication Society.
Chauhan, a retired officer of Himachal’s Information and Public Relations Department, has penned notable works, including a biography of former CM Prem Kumar Dhumal and Himachal Pradesh ke Paanch Saput, chronicling the state’s first five Chief Ministers.
The conference, themed ‘National Values: International Skills – The Role of Public Relations’, highlighted key topics such as artificial intelligence, PR ethics, and self-reliant India.
