Shimla, Sept 10,
In an effort to ensure peace and order in the Sanjauli area of Shimla city, the district administration has imposed restrictions for Wednesday. The order, issued under Section 163 of the BNS 2023, will be in effect from September 11, 2024, from 7 AM to 11:59 PM.
The restrictions include a ban on gatherings of five or more people, possession of weapons or flammable substances, and protests, slogans, or hunger strikes without prior permission. Additionally, the use of loudspeakers in public places, hospitals, courts, and educational institutions is prohibited.
Noteworthy that due to a incident of a common fight which occurred in the Sanjauli area on previous Friday, protests ignited and raised concerns about the ongoing construction of a mosque in the locality. Later a procession was staged in the area demanding demolition of the Mosque.
