A landslide near the Manikaran Gurudwara in Kullu district has claimed six lives, while around three people have sustained injuries, according to initial reports.

As per officials a landslide accompanied by a tree fall on the PWD road opposite Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib in Kullu district has claimed six lives and left three others injured.
According to reports from the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kullu, the deceased have been identified as Ramesh (42), a resident of Vijay Nagar, Bangalore; Pallavi; Bhargav; Reena, daughter of Hanch Ray from VPO Mkm; Varshini, daughter of Ramesh; and Sameer Aurang, a Nepali national. Additionally, two unidentified individuals, a Punjabi male and a female, are among the deceased. Three injured persons have been shifted to Jari Hospital for medical treatment.
A police team led by SHO Manikaran is present at the site, managing rescue and relief efforts, while the field revenue agency is assisting in assessment and emergency measures. The Fire Brigade from Jari is on its way, and the BMO Jari, along with a medical team, has already reached the location to provide immediate medical aid.
SDM Kullu, Vikas Shukla, is personally overseeing the situation, and hearse vans have been directed to transport the deceased. Authorities have assured that the situation is under control, with further updates expected as rescue operations continue.

Meanwhile Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Leader of opposition Jairam Thakur have extended their condolonces for the deceased. CM Sukhu has extended all possible support for the injured and the families of the deceased. Further updates are awaited as operations continue.
