A major controversy has erupted in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district regarding a property dispute in the mining business as son of former MLA and BJP leader was booked for criminal breach of trust.

An FIR has been registered on Tuesday at Pachhad police station against Abhishek Rana, son of former Congress MLA Rajinder Rana, his wife Anita Rana, and one other person, Kamlesh Kumar.
The case revolves around financial and legal disputes between partners of ‘King Stone Mines & Minerals’ company.
The complainant, Anil Chauhan, a partner in the company, has alleged that Abhishek Rana and his wife, Anita Rana, conspired to steal a JCB machine.
FIR was registered under section 316(2) and sec 3(5) of BNS Act According to the FIR, on December 11, 2024, Abhishek Rana, along with some unidentified individuals, forcefully took possession of the JCB machine from the site.
Anil Chauhan claims that while the JCB machine was registered in Abhishek Rana’s name to avail MSME benefits, the actual payment for the machine and its EMI was made by him. He now accuses his business partners of illegally seizing the machine.
The FIR also states that Abhishek Rana and Anil Chauhan had a 25% partnership, but financial disputes had arisen between them. Anil Chauhan further alleged that after signing the partnership agreement on April 15, 2021, several financial discrepancies were uncovered, some of which were not properly documented.
Sirmaur SP N.S. Negi confirmed that an investigation has begun. The police are examining all evidence and will soon question the accused.
This case could have far-reaching political and business implications, as it is not just a personal dispute but a serious issue linked to the mining industry in Himachal Pradesh. If the allegations are proven true, Abhishek Rana and his family may face legal consequences. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked political discussions among different parties in the state.
