The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Sushil Sharma for the esteemed position of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of SJVN. This decision follows a rigorous selection process wherein Sharma emerged as the top choice from a pool of nine candidates representing diverse sectors.
Currently serving as the Director (Projects) at SJVN, Sushil Sharma brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record of exemplary leadership. His tenure at SJVN, which began in 1994, has been marked by significant contributions to the hydro power sector, including key roles in the successful design, construction, and commissioning of major projects such as the Nathpa Jhakri, Rampur, and Naitwar Mori Hydro Power.
A mechanical engineering graduate from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, Sushil Sharma has accumulated over 30 years of experience across various organizations. His career trajectory, starting from the H.P. State Technical Education Service in 1990 to his current position at SJVN, reflects a steady ascent marked by dedication and expertise.
Sharma’s contributions to SJVN, particularly in spearheading critical projects, underscore his aptitude and commitment to excellence. His leadership qualities, coupled with extensive experience in the hydro power sector, position him as the ideal candidate to lead SJVN into a new era of growth and development.
