Shimla, Apr 7
In a heart-wrenching incident in Una district, three children, Pankaj (8), Sonu (11), and Mukesh (11), hailing from families of migratory workers, tragically drowned in a water pond on Sunday.
According to the State Disaster Management Authority, the ordeal began when one child, while bathing on the pond’s bank, slipped into the water and drowned.
In a desperate attempt to rescue their friend, the other two children also ventured into the pond but met the same tragic fate.
The victims, Pankaj (son of Prashadi), Sonu (son of Suresh), and Mukesh (son of Doomesh), were residents of Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred as they were bathing in a fish pond located at Raipur Soharan village.
