
Toll Plaza at Sanwara on Parwanoo-Dharampur NH 5 reopens

As the Parwanoo Solan stretch of the NH 5 is almost restored now, toll tax has been revoked. The toll plaza situated at Sanwara between Parwanoo and Solan had been closed since August 5, following series of landslides and disruptions, thus rendering it un-operational for all types of vehicles.
However this order notified by the District Magistrate cum Chairman DDMA, Solan on August 5 has now been revoked, with effect from August 25.
“And whereas considering the current road condition of NH 5 between Solan to Parwanoo for the last 48 hours, it was deemed appropriate for all types of vehicles movement.” Stated the DM’s order.
Sighting section 34 of Disaster Management act, 2005, the DM order stated,” do herby withdraw the order no DDMA/Monsoon/2023-1782-1793 dated 5.8.23, which pertains to the closure of toll plaza Sanwara till NH is restored.”
