Shimla, Aug 11
Heavy rains have caused havoc in Kullu district as a flood and cloudburst has been reported in Anni sub-division, of Kullu district. In two separate incidents 2 lives have also been lost.
DEOC Kullu informed an incident of Landslide occurred at Village Khadel Gram Panchayat Sheel Tehsil Ani, District Kullu. In the incident residential house was destroyed due to landslide wherein, two persons are buried under the debris and both are feared dead. Deceased have been identified as Chavelu Devi aged 55 years and Karitika 17 years.
In another DEOC Kullu informed an incident of Cloudburst occurred at Gram Panchayat Deuthi (Gugra) Tehsil Ani, District Kullu.
In the incident no human loss reported. Revenued epartment officials are on the spot to assessing the situation, they added.
Around 10 shops (Khokhas) of Nagar Panchayat Aani were damage, 03 Vehicles washed away.and
Electrical wires/posts are also reported to be damaged. Also the Old bus stand and Panchyat Ghar (Deuthi) are reportedly under threat.
