The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast wet weather conditions for many places in Himachal Pradesh from March 28 to 31. During the next four days, heavy rain, snowfall, and high-speed windstorms of 40 to 50 km per hour may disrupt normal life.
IMD forecasts rain and thunder showers along with high-speed thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rain in isolated places from tomorrow onward.
The Indian Meteorological Department forecasts that rain and thunderstorms may last in many places from March 28 to 31. The state may experience widespread rain or snowfall on March 29 and 30 in most places in the mid and high reaches.
The sky was mainly clear to partly cloudy today, but it was overcast last night.
The Met department issued an Orange alert for heavy rainfall along with 40 to 50-kilometer per hour windstorms in the state at isolated places on March 29 and 30.
The minimum and maximum temperatures were a couple of degrees above normal in the state.
The minimum temperatures were as follows: Keylong 2.4 degrees, Kalpa six, Narkanda seven, Dalhousie, Manali, and Kufri ten degrees, Shimla 11.6, Dharamshala 16.6, Una 17.2, Nahan 17, Solan 11.5, Kangra 17, Mandi 15.2, Bilaspur 17.2, Chamba 15.5, Jubberhatti 14.8.
IMD issued a warning to farmers to protect their crops from possible strong winds. The high reaches may experience snowfall, and there is a possibility of avalanches in a few places in the coming week.
