Covid-19 contracted 19 students of Indora College in Kangra district on Tuesday. The issue figure in the state assembly, and the Government cautioned the people to be not adopt negligence. Drawing attention of house to this issue CPI(M) member of Assembly Rakash Singha said that he came to know that out of 125 students, 19 contracted to novel corona virus in Indora College.
Giving a statement on the issue Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that active cases are in upswing since last few days due to increasing gathering of people and opening of the education institutions.
CM stated that State council of ministers also discussed the issue of hike in active cases yesterday. It decided to increase contact tracing and step on vigil for the spike in new cases. We would reviewed this issue in next Cabinet meeting to take a further call.
Raising concern of community spread Chief Minister said that during a recent Tibetan celebration 150 People tested positive for nCoV, 16 employees of a industrial unit contracted to novel corona in Una and new cases were also being reported in Shimla and Sirmaur district due to increasing crowd. Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said that a video addressing him was released by students of Indora College urging not open the education institutions.
The Government has decided to relax the SoPs however if precautions would not be taken virus could spread again, he warned.
