India’s top racers were honoured at the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) Annual Awards, celebrating the champions of the 2024 National Racing Championship. Sarthak Chavan (Pune) and Jaden Rahman Pariat (Shillong) emerged as standout winners in the motorcycle and car racing categories, respectively stated a media release shared on social media.
Adding that, in the MRF MMSC fmsci Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship, Chavan clinched titles in both the Pro-Stock 301-400cc and TVS OMC Electric RTE categories, securing his dominance on two wheels. Jagan Kumar (Chennai) took the Pro-Stock 165cc crown, while Kaushik Subbiah Ganesan (Chennai) won the Stock 301-400cc (Novice) title. Abdul Basim RS (Chennai) was the best in the Novice (Stock 165cc) class, and Jagathishree Kumaresan (Chennai) topped the Girls (Stock 165cc) category, it stated.
Other champions included Mohsin Paramban (Mallapuram) in the Idemitsu Honda India Talent Cup (NSF 250 Open), Senthil Kumar C (Coimbatore) in the TVS One-Make Championship Open (Apache RR 310), Saimah Ajaz Baig (Pune) in the TVS OMC Women (Apache RTR 200), and Harshith V Bogar (Bengaluru) in the TVS OMC Rookie (Apache RTR 200).
In the MRF MMSC fmsci Indian National Car Racing Championship, Jaden Rahman Pariat (Shillong) took the prestigious MRF Formula 2000 title, while Abhay Mohan (Bengaluru) claimed the MRF Formula 1600 championship. Biren Pithawalla (Mumbai, Team N1 Racing) won the Indian Touring Cars title, and Srinivas Teja (Chennai, Team Performance Racing) secured the Indian Junior Touring Cars crown, they informed.
Other winners included Justin Singh (Gurugram, Redline Racing India) in the Super Stock category, Viswas Vijayaraj (Nellore, DTS Racing) in Formula LGB 1300, Diana Pundole (Pune) in MRF Saloons (Toyota Etios), and Dhruv Chavan (Lonavla) in the Polo Cup.
At the awards ceremony, MMSC Vice-President Vicky Chandhok hinted at an exciting future for Indian motorsports, with more powerful vehicles set to make their way onto the racing scene. He also highlighted MMSC’s efforts to make motorsports more accessible, citing the Mika International Karting Arena as a crucial initiative.
MRF Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Arun Mammen, the event’s chief guest, reiterated MRF’s longstanding commitment to motorsports and promised continued support across various disciplines.
The ceremony concluded the 2024 National Racing Championship season, honouring the champions who have shaped India’s motorsports landscape.
