Shimla, Sept 30
Deputy Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha and Member of Assembly from Churah of Chamba district Hans Raj had a spat with Principal of Jawahar Navodaya School over admission of a student against Management quota, which went viral on social media. A audio clip on Friday indicated the BJP MLA in power arrogance.
In the audio clip the MLA was pressing Principal of Jawahar Navodaya School to admit his cousin’s son in the school. When the Principal said that all type of admission is banned including management quota it agitated the Deputy Speaker. He threatened the Principal to transfer for not compliance of his request. He even stated that the principal is pushing him to call union minister Anurag Thakur for the purpose and during the spat he said that the principal will be sent to Afghanistan instead of home state Rajasthan.
However the Principal said that the call made to him is action of unbecoming of MLA and he would not succumb to pressure. Because of talking like this, you could be called to Vidhan Sabha and may be booked and arrested, warned the deputy speaker to principal during the conversation. However principal stated that why an FIR should not be registered for pressurising him like this to ensure the admission of kith and kin.
Notably, it is the second such incidence by the Deputy Speaker. During Covid vaccination campaign he slapped a student in a class room of a school when he was inspecting the same. The Congress party had also demanded action against deputy speaker for slapping the students. The Video clipping of incidents also went viral in the Social media which is also in public domain now.
