SJVNL CMD NL Sharma appointed HERC Chairman

The Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of SJVNL, Nand Lal Sharma, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission by the Haryana government. A notification issued today by the Haryana Additional Chief Secretary, A K Singh, states that Sharma’s term will be five years from the date of taking the oath of office or until the age of sixty-five, whichever comes earlier. This appointment will be governed by the Electricity Act-2003 and the terms and conditions outlined in the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conditions of Service of Chairman & Member) Rules, 1998, as amended.
Noteworthy that Sharma has been serving SJVNL for almost ten years in different roles. From Executive director, Director personal and then CMD Sharma left a distinguished administrative career to join Mini Ratna Blue-chip firm.
Under his leadership, SJVNL has experienced significant growth, becoming an Indian public sector company operating in five nations with a capitalization of Rs 25,000 Cr. SJVNL is currently engaged in a power generation project of 5,500 megawatts.
Recently he has also been appointed Chairman of the BBMB.
