Pro-khalistani outfit holed-up in U.S indulges in incident of defacing shrine wall in Himachal
Shimla, Nov 29
This morning, a disturbing incident unfolded as miscreants defaced a revered shrine’s outskirt wall in Himachal Pradesh. Reportedly, the pro-Khalistani outfit, known to be holed up in the U.S., was involved in this act of vandalism. The Hindu Shrine Maa Chintpurni reported that last night, under the cover of darkness, an outskirt wall was defaced by a terror outfit notorious for similar actions in the past.
The banned outfit has claimed responsibility for the activity, sharing a video lasting one minute and 58 seconds on social media. In the video, Gurpatwant Pannun of the Sikh for Justice (SFJ) took responsibility for the defacement. The slogans written include ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ (Hail Khalistan) and ‘Shaheed Bhindranwale Zindabad’ (Hail the Slain Bhindranwale).
According to the police, the slogans were written on the Talwara bypass road, approximately two kilometers away from the Chintpurni temple. Naresh Suryavanshi, the SHO of Chintpurni, confirmed the incident of wall writing. Upon receiving the information, a police party was promptly dispatched to the spot, and authorities are set to file an FIR in the matter.
It is noteworthy that similar FIRs have been previously lodged against this banned outfit. The police authorities express confidence in identifying and apprehending the miscreants after a thorough investigation. This particular banned terror outfit, operating from the U.S. and Canada, had previously claimed responsibility for defacing the wall of the Tapowan Vidhan Sabha complex in Dharamshala in May 2022. Similar incidents of wall writing have also been reported from various parts of the country in the recent past days.
