Shimla/ Solan, Oct 21,
Two workers died due to falling into a chemical tank in the Canvin drug factory at Plasda village under Nalagarh sub division of Solan district on Sunday.
Preliminary investigations by police revealed that a worker was got down into the chemical tank to lift the samples but the worker suddenly slipped and fell down into the chemical filled tank. To save him, another worker also jumped into the tank in a hurry.
One worker died on the spot while the other died before reaching the ESI hospital.
Another worker climbed down to save him and he also fell down into the tank. One died on the spot. His fellow workers took him to the Nalagarh hospital but the doctors declared him dead.
The other worker was referred from Nalagarh Civil Hospital to Baddi ESI Hospital where he also died on the way. Nalagarh Police SHO along with his team reached the spot and started investigation. According to the statements of the workers, there are large chemical tanks inside the company, the tank in which the migrant worker fell was a RO tanker.
The deceased worker did not have any safety equipment. Due to which both the workers died.
