Shimla, Nov 6,
In a significant political move, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has decided to dissolve the entire state unit of the Himachal Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). The announcement, made through an official press release dated November 6, 2024, also states that the positions of District Presidents and Block Congress Committees have been dissolved with immediate effect.
K.C. Venugopal, General Secretary of the AICC, confirmed that the Congress President approved this proposal to dissolve the state unit as well as related committees. The reason behind this step has not been disclosed in the release, sparking widespread speculation among political circles regarding the future structure and strategy of the Congress party in Himachal Pradesh.
Although a official version from top leadership of congress is awaited but the decision could indicate an impending reorganization or strategic shift in the party’s approach within the state. Political analysts suggest this may be part of broader efforts to revitalize the Congress’s presence and strengthen its organization ahead of upcoming political challenges.
