Tourist staying in B&B dies due fire mishap in Shimla -

Shimla, March 1,

One tourist from Maharashtra died and two others injured in a fire mishap which took place in a private B & B hospitality unit in the outskirt Kachi Ghatti of State capital Shimla. The incident took place in the intervening night of February 28 and March 1, fire officials posted at Boilueaganj fire station informed.

The private owned hospitality unit belonged to Manoj Sharma. On getting information three fire tenders were rushed to the spot at 2330 hours last night which doused the infernos after two and half hours. Two fire tenders were deployed from Boilueaganj and one from Shimla, they added.

They informed that three guests from Maharashtra were caught in the fire wherein two got injured and were rushed to IGMC. The deceased was identified as Ritesh Kumar.

The cause of fire could not be ascertained. The hospitality unit situated in a five story building at Kachighati about four kilometers from main town.
