Heavy Rainfall forces closure of schools in Theog, Rampur, Jubbal, Sunni, Kumarsain and Chopal Sub-divisions

Shimla, August 6
In view of the continuous heavy rainfall and the safety of students, all educational institutions—including government and private schools, colleges, ITIs, and anganwadis—in Theog, Kumarsain, Rampur, Sunni, Jubbal and Chopal sub-divisions of Shimla district have been ordered shut for today, August 6.
Though not confirmed but Auckland house school of Shimla has also announced a holiday.
Authorities cited weather alerts and adverse conditions as the reason for the closure under provisions of the Disaster Management Act. While institutions remain closed, staff attendance will be governed by existing government orders.
