Three people lost their lives and two others were injured in a road accident at Tahliwal in Una district early Thursday morning. The vehicle reportedly went out of control and crashed along the roadside, leaving all occupants trapped in the mangled structure.
Locals alerted the police immediately, and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials said their identities are being confirmed, while the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem. The vehicle involved in the crash has been seized for a detailed mechanical examination to determine whether any technical fault contributed to the incident. Police are also probing other possible causes, including overspeeding and poor visibility.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed grief over the loss of lives and directed the Una district administration to extend all required assistance to the affected families. He also wished a speedy recovery to the injured. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri conveyed similar condolences, assuring that the government stands with the families during this difficult time.
