
Shimla, May 4
A tragic road accident in Sangadah on Monday claimed four lives, including a school teacher, while the driver sustained injuries.
The mishap occurred on the Piulani–Bhalona road when a Hyundai Grand i10 (HP79-2756) carrying five occupants plunged nearly 300 feet into a deep gorge. The victims included the teacher, her daughter and two others from the local area.

Villagers led the initial rescue, pulling out the injured driver and retrieving bodies after strenuous efforts. The injured was given first aid at Sangadah and referred to Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Government Medical College.
Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and initiated further investigation.
