Delhi Public School (DPS), Shimla hosted the Inter-School Junior Literary Fest “Expressions 2026”, bringing together young students from various schools to showcase their literary and creative talents.
The event featured competitions in Spell Bee, Hindi and English Poetry Recitation, Prose Recitation, Just-A-Minute (JAM), Poster Making and Drama (Monologue). Participants displayed impressive communication skills, creativity, confidence and stage presence throughout the festival.
Several students were honoured with special awards for their outstanding performances. Sanaya Singh Gazta of Loreto Convent Tara Hall was adjudged Best Elocutionist (English), while Himanshi Thakur of Shimla Public School received the Best Elocutionist (Hindi) award.

Sourish Sharma from DAV Public School New Shimla was named Most Promising Speaker, while Shivika of Saraswati Paradise School won the Courage in the Face of Adversity award in the JAM category. Aushadhi Singh of Auckland House School for Girls secured the Best Speaker (Cave Orator) award in the Drama (Monologue) category.
The Overall Winning Team Trophy was bagged by DAV Public School New Shimla for its exceptional performance across various events.
The organisers congratulated all participants and winners for their enthusiastic involvement and contribution in making “Expressions 2026” a successful celebration of literary excellence and youthful expression.
