Shimla, June 13
Union Health Minister and BJP National President J.P. Nadda on Saturday sidestepped questions from journalists regarding the recent deaths of three Indian sailors in an incident involving a commercial vessel near the Strait of Hormuz.
Speaking at a press conference at Hotel Holiday Home in Shimla, Nadda stated that the matter would be addressed separately and continued with the scheduled briefing without offering further remarks on the issue.
The incident has drawn considerable public and media attention following reports that three Indian sailors lost their lives. It has also prompted discussions regarding India’s diplomatic engagement and response to the matter.
According to media reports, the Government of India has expressed concern over the incident and is pursuing the issue through appropriate diplomatic channels. Reports further indicate that officials associated with the U.S. Embassy have been approached in connection with the matter.
