Saraswati Paradise school director shot dead in Shimla; Police launch massive manhunt
Shimla, June 13
Director of Saraswati Paradise School, Meenakshi Mittal, was allegedly shot dead by unidentified assailants in Shimla on Saturday, triggering a major police investigation.
According to Superintendent of Police Shimla, Gaurav Singh, police received information about the shooting and immediately rushed a team to the spot. The crime scene was secured, and forensic teams began collecting evidence.
The SP said a murder case is being registered and all aspects of the incident are being thoroughly investigated. Special police teams have been constituted to identify and arrest the accused, while a massive search operation has been launched. Police are also examining CCTV footage and other technical evidence from nearby areas to trace the attackers.

Sources said the school management had reportedly been going through family-related disputes for some time. Saraswati Paradise School was being run by Meenakshi Mittal, whereas earlier the management of the institution was handled by other members of the Mittal family.
Police have not ruled out any angle and said the motive behind the killing is yet to be established. Further investigation is underway.
