Acquisition of private land by the state government for the establishment of green field airport in the state will be done as per the provision of Right to Fair Copy Tax and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. The State government stated this in a reply to a starred question by Mukesh Agnihotri, Leader of the opposition and MLA from Haroli constituency, during the Monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.
For the purpose, around 2535-01–09, Bigha private land is proposed to be acquired for the construction of the airport.
At the time of land acquisition, the guidelines of the Rajpath department will be applicable, they added. The detailed project report is being prepared. The estimated cost can be assessed only after receipt of the same or correspondence with the Central Government regarding financial assistance, stated the State government.
