Shimla, Nov 4
Election in Himachal Pradesh becomes a prestigious issue for BJP National president Jagat Prakash Nadda as in his home town Bilaspur assembly segment, a party rebel was in the fray against Nadda loyalist Trilok Jamwal. A party communique issued here last late night said that it decided to expel Subhash Sharma from Bilaspur AC.
BJP state president and MP Suresh Kashyap has expelled the primary membership of State executive member Subhash Sharma for six years with immediate effect in the wake of contesting as an independent against the party’s authorised candidate.
It is worthwhile to mention here that a ground report by HimachalScape revealed that despite anti-incumbency, the contest has become triangular for Jamwal in Bilaspur Sadar AC since Nadda and the party’s high command could not pacify the rebel.
Notably, besides issues like inflation, Bambar Thakur, former MLA of Congress, is expected to have an advantage due to the BJP rebellion in the Constituency.
In the entire state, 19 seats are being affected by BJP rebels and are posing a danger. Faulty distribution of tickets is being spelt as the root cause for the high discontentment among aspirants who are now in the fray as Independent candidates.
