In a Children’s Day initiative aimed at empowering young learners, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a high-value, student-centric mobile plan offering 100 GB of high-speed data, unlimited calling and daily SMS benefits — all for ₹251. The special scheme will remain available for subscription from 14 November to 13 December 2025.
The move comes at a time when students across Himachal Pradesh are increasingly dependent on stable connectivity for online classes, research, digital assignments and competitive exam preparation.
According to BSNL, the new “Student Plan” provides a 28-day validity, ensuring uninterrupted access to data-rich digital resources at a cost that is both competitive and suited to the needs of young users.
Announcing the offer, Charan Singh, Chief General Manager Telecom (CGMT), BSNL Himachal Pradesh, said the plan celebrates Children’s Day by giving students an opportunity to experience India’s indigenously developed next-generation telecom network.
He highlighted that BSNL has recently completed the rollout of its Make-in-India 4G network across the country, marking a significant milestone for the state-run telecom operator. “This large data-packed plan offers students a chance to take pride in using a fully indigenous 4G mobile network with up to 100 GB of usage over 28 days,” he said.

Singh added that the offering is not only economical but also designed for students who require substantial data for academic work. “Once they experience the new BSNL 4G services, we expect them to continue their association with us for a long time, as BSNL can assure excellent service quality and coverage,” he said.
The exclusive student plan is expected to increase BSNL’s outreach among younger subscribers, especially in educational hubs like Shimla, Solan, Dharamshala, Hamirpur and Mandi, where demand for affordable, high-volume data plans remains consistently high.
