The Himachal Pradesh Assembly budget session adjourned sine die a day ahead of scheduled adjournment this afternoon. Before the adjournment of the house the Government passed the Year 2024-25 bills and appropriation bills. On the other hand the entire Opposition staged a walkout from the state assembly after the lunch break protesting suspension of 15 members of BJP legislative party.
As the house assembled for the budget session in the afternoon Speaker stated that unfortunate incidents occurred in the house in the morning and yesterday. He said members of BJP misbehaved in his chamber when he was considering the matter of disqualification of six Congress MLAs  for violating the party whip. He said was disrupted by the members of opposition benches and after receiving a resolution from the Parliamentary Affairs minister Harshvardhan Chauhan and it was passed by the voice vote in the house.
He said that the house was adjourned till 1200 hrs today but members of opposition did not vacate their seats. They kept on sitting in the house disobeying the speaker’s order and the house could not assemble till lunch break. He said that Opposition members who are suspended today also disrupted the proceeding of disqualification of Congress MLAs who defied the party whip and a team of Supreme court lawyers was in the chamber when they created ruckus and misbehaved with security officials. He said that he would also take appropriate action on the violation of the house discipline and dignity of the speaker.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presented the financial bills for discussion which was approved by the voice vote. Since none of the opposition members was present in the house during the passing of budget all the cut motions were rejected by applying guillotine.
After passing all the money bills the parliamentary Affairs minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan said that the Congress party has issued a whip to all the Congress legislative parties to remain present in the house for the budget session yesterday. They have violated the party whip and proceeding of disqualification was already pending before the speaker and it is up to the speaker to decide the matter.
Chauhan said that the party also issued the whip today to all MLAs but all the six MLAs of Congress party went out of the house. The speaker should also take cognizance of the matter.
