The All India Youth Congress (AIYC) has appointed Chhatar Singh, a Congress leader from Rohru, Shimla, as the President of Himachal Youth Congress. Chhatar Singh secured a resounding victory in the recent election, receiving 60,000 votes, the highest among the candidates.

Akhil Agnihotri from Una finished second with 37,000 votes, while Rahul Chauhan from Sirmaur secured 15,000 votes. Following the election, the party high command in Delhi finalized the decision after interviewing the top three candidates.
In his address, Chhatar Singh emphasized his commitment to youth welfare, vowing to combat drug addiction and promote government policies across the state. He also expressed his intent to strengthen the Youth Congress by working collectively with the organization.
Chhatar Singh began his political journey at Solan College, where he served as Campus Secretary, District General Secretary, and District President before rising through the ranks to become NSUI State President. His election as Youth Congress President marks a new chapter in his political career.
