Shimla, Feb 12
Mainly dry weather and clear sky was witnessed on Sunday, due to which mercury plummet in the last 24 hours.
Indian Meteorological Department said that despite mainly dry weather conditions coldwave intensified in the State. Sky was mainly clear last night and icy cold wind were blowing in the state.
In the last two days Snowfall and hailstrom also pushed down the Mercury.

Including Manali , Keylong, headquarter of Lahaul-Spiti district and Kalpa, Regional headquarter of Kinnaur and other high places in Kinnaur and Kullu district received light to moderate snowfall.
Kothi in Kullu had 15 cm snow, Kalpa five, Keylong four, Manali two and Kukumseri one cm.
In Kullu district Bajaura & Manali had 13 mm rain each, Banjar & Seobagh-seven mm each,Bhuntar three mm, Bharmaur(Chamba) & Jogindernagar(Mandi) five mm each.
Minimum temperature was one to two degrees below normal in many places of state as Shimla 2.8 degrees, Sundernagar Kalpa minus 3.8, Dharamshala 6.2, Una 4.6, Nahan 13, Keylong minus 8, Solan 2.5, Manali zero degree, Kangra 4.8, Mandi 5.2, Bilaspur 6.5,  Hamirpur 3.7, Chamba 4, Dalhousie minus 0.3 and Kufri minus 1.4 and Narkanda minus 3.4 degrees respectively.Met office forecast mainly dry weather in next 24 hrs.
