Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has congratulated Muskan, a visually impaired, PhD Scholar at HP University Shimla and excellent singer, for becoming the Youth Icon of the Election
Commission of India for Himachal Pradesh. She is an inspiration for the younger generation. He said the daughters of the state are striving hard to secure their place in the society. They are also contributing to the society in a big way.
Muskan hailing from a remote village of Sindasali in Chirgaon of Shimla district, has proved that visual or any other disability cannot stop those who are determined to achieve their goals. She has made us proud, he added.

The Election Commission of India has appointed a ace singer Muskan, a specially abled PhD scholar of Himachal Pradesh University as the Youth Icon for the State. Earlier in 2017 Vidhan Sabha and in 2019 Loksabha elections also she was declared as Youth Icon.
She uses facebook, instagram. whatsapp and other social media platforms through talking software. On a fellowship, she has visited USA in 2018 and participated in concerts in five states.
