Thakur was addressing media persons here after the cabinet meeting held today. He said that the government has benefited the candidates who are giving their services under the above categories.
Terming it as a historic decision he said that it would benefit the candidates who had to wait for many years to get the regular posting in the department. He said that the state government has always taken care of these teachers and they were given a regular pay scale at par with regular teachers since last year.
Thakur said that the state government was already committed for the welfare of such teachers including the three categories. Currently there are about 6800 – PTA, 3400-PAT and 98 PARA teachers would likely get the benefit of the cabinet decision.
