Congress member of Assembly from Kinnuar Jagat Singh Negi blamed that there is short supply of fuel good in Kinnuar district and people are facing hardship due to shortage and forced to even indulge in green felling for the funeral.
Raising this query in the question hours Jagat Singh alleged that in the month of December, Jan and February there was short supply of fuel-wood during the extreme winter season. He said that people in the tribal areas had to face hardships in the winter-season and
fuel wood was not supplied as per the demands of cold season in the winter.
Minister said that there is no shortage of fuel wood in the Kinnuar as 95 per cent supply of the fuel woods as per the demand have been met. He said that member want to execrate this issue since his political adversary was elevated to vice chairman of forest corporation.
Member alleged that people have to face the acute shortage of fuel wood in the district in the winter season and other activities and green felling is being done to met the demand for even funerals in the district.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that Forest clearance of MLA priority road scheme of Congress Asha Kumar of Dalhousie is underway. He said that this link road Saboti village as the alignment work of the scheme was finalized in six km road. he assured the MLA a Joint inspection would be taken on the assurance of MLA to provide the private land for this road.
Technical education & IT minister Ram Lal Markanda in replying of Ravinder Kumar of Jaisinghpur said that only two pharmacy colleges are functional in the state at Rohru (Shimla)and Kandaghat (Solan) while others are not working due to shortage of staff and other infrastructure facilities.
Replying to another query of Arun Shourie of BJP, Chief Minister said that DPR works of Jalori- jot tunnel in Kullu district is underway and after completion of DPR it would be submitted to Union Land and Surface Transport Minister for appointment of consultant as this tunnel would link Kullu district with the land lock area of Anni.
