Congress spokesperson faces complaint over derogatory remarks against Kangana Ranaut

Shimla, Mar 27
A complaint has been lodged against the National spokesperson of Congress, Supriya Shrinate, for allegedly posting an objectionable comment against BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut, from the Mandi Parliamentary constituency, on Tuesday.
The complaint, filed by BJP party secretary Parmod Thakur with the Chief Electoral Officer, alleges that vulgar remarks were made against Kangana, and the ECI should immediately take cognizance of the matter.
The BJP claims that repeated instances of serious violations of provisions of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, the Representation of the People Act, 1951, and the Model Code of Conduct have been committed by leaders of the Indian National Congress on social media and digital platforms.
On March 25, on the Social Media and Digital Platform of the Congress Working Committee of the Indian National Congress, Supriya Shrinate and other party officials shared derogatory remarks against the Bollywood actress.
