After cases of caste-based discrimination coming fore the district administration has decided to start campaign to eliminate this social evil. District administration set a goal to touch the 3 Lakhs families in the coming 60 days. To get the expected result they are going to use all publicity means like letters, audio visual activities, posters, pumplates and declamation programs.
However first they will start with sending letters to all families of districts area to educate them about caste-based discrimination and its legal aspects. To complete the task administration will also take help from NGOs, and other social organizations.
To add the district administration is going to conduct training of panchayat representatives. Deputy Commissioner of Mandi Rugved Thakur said that all Sub Division magistrates have been directed to conduct training programs for Panchayat Pradhans. With the help of Panchayat representatives, NGOs, and Social organizations we will reach every and each household and convey a message to eliminate castism and caste-based discrimination in the coming 60 days. He said caste-based discrimination is illegal and we have to take necessary steps to change the mentality of peoples who try to humiliate any persons on his caste base.
