Most places of Himachal Pradesh are reeling under a dry spell as winter rain/snow has been confined to isolated places in mid and high reaches.
In a recent spell on Monday, among those places which received snow, Keylong (Lahul Spiti) got five centimetre snow, Sangla (Kinnaur) 4.5 cm, Khadrala (Shimla) four cm.
According to district administration Lahaul-Spiti vehicular traffic was partly off on the Manali Leh National Highway ( NH – 003 as only local people are allowed in four by four vehicles upto Jispa. The Darcha Shinkula road is closed for all types of vehicles.
Pangi Killar Highway ( SH – 26 ) was open for local four by four vehicles from Tandi to Udaipur. Kaza road ( NH – 505 ) from Gramphu to Kaza is closed and Sumdo to Losar via Pin valley is open for light vehicles. Local people and tourists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel in case of snowfall.
Minimum temperature plummet by three to four degrees. Shimla six degrees, Sundernagar 3.7 degree, Kalpa minus four degrees, Dharamshala 7.2, Una 7, Nahan 12.5, Keylong -10.7, Solan 5, Manali minus one, Kangra 7, Mandi 4.1, Bilaspur 7.3, Hamirpur 5, Chamba 5.4, Dalhousie 4.9, Jubbarhatti 7.6, Kufri 1.8, Narkanda -0.7 degrees, respectively.
NoFor the coming days, the Met office has forecast a yellow warning, for rain or Snow in the state on February 9 and February 10.
