Mandi, Sept 11
Former candidate of Mandi parliament constituency and grandson of Late Congress leader and former Union minister Sukhram, Aashray Sharma has resigned from the membership of Yuva Rojgar Yatra.
Son of the BJP MLA Anil Sharma, Aashray has sent resignation to AICC president Sonia Gandhi and has displayed outrage for the constant interference in Mandi district by leaders from Shimla.
Aashray Sharma said that it was decided earlier that a grand Yuva Rojgar Yatra will be organised in Mandi district and he was taken as a member in this Yuva Rojgar Yatra committee. Himachal Pradesh Congress co-incharge Sanjay Dutt had deliberated the responsibilities to many young leaders in their respective districts.
He added that to organise the Yatra various plans were being made by him and his team. However leaders from Shimla who do not have direct concern with Mandi district, are constantly trying to interfere, thus putting roadblocks in the plans. “It is not acceptable and is the reason for taking such step. Sharma has also sent the copy of resignation to chairperson of Yuva Rojgar Yatra committee and President of HPCC Pratibha Singh, Mukesh Agnihotri and Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.
This resignation of Aashray Sharma has once again exposed the ongoing tussle between the Congress leaders in the State.
