FIR filed against TTR mgmt. for negligence in cable car snag incidence

Shimla, June 21

A case has been registered in the police station Parwanoo under section  336 & 287 IPC for endangering life of people as 11 persons had got stranded midway in the air at the Timber Trail cable car of Monday. Earlier a complaint was lodged by Anand Goel son of Madan Lal Goyal R/O A-172 Vivek Vihar Delhi, Age- 52 years, telephonically, who informed SDPO Parwanoo that he along with his family members had been stranded in mid-air on ropeway/trolley at Timber Trail Resorts,

Parwanoo. He informed that five females and six males including him were stuck inside the trolley. On this, SHO Parwanoo along with his team went to the spot to initiate rescue operation. Air Force Station at Kasauli was requested to provide necessary help and NDRF team stationed at Panchkula was also called to the spot. Taking help of local administration and NDRF team, all 11 people were safely rescued. Whole rescue operation was conducted under the supervision and guidance of DC and SP Solan.

Anand Goyal gave a statement under section 154 Cr.PC to the police that this incident has taken place due to the carelessness of hotel management. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 65/2022 dated 20-06-2022 u/s 336 & 287 IPC has been registered at  Police Station, Parwanoo. The investigation of this case is being carried

out by the Addl. Superintendent of Police, Solan. The names and addresses of rescued persons are as Anand Goel S/O Madan Lal Goyal r/o A 172 Vivek Vihar Delhi , Age- 52 years. Sheetal Gupta w/o Gopal Gupta r/o C 83 Anand Vihar Delhi Age- 52 years, Rita Goyal w/o  Manoj Goyal r/o B 4 Tagore road Adarsh Nagar Delhi, Age- 54 years, Rajesh Garg s/o Lt Vakil Chand r/o D 22 Haqikat Rai road, Adarsh Nagar, Delhi, Age – 50 years, Manoj Goyal s/o Lt Nihal Chand Goyal r/o B4 Tagore road, Adarsh Nagar Delhi.
