News arriving that in Chhota Shimla, a storm brewed on social media. It began with a single tweet, innocuous in its brevity, yet laden with deceit.
The police has registered an FIR in Chhota Shimla police station in the case of false posts related to the property of All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi’s daughter. The case has been registered under various sections on the complaint of Chhota Shimla resident and Congress worker Pramod Gupta.
In the complaint given to the police, Pramod Gupta said – A person named Anoop Verma made a false and factless post on X on May 10 at 3:22 pm, in which it was claimed that Priyanka Vadra’s daughter Kumari Miraya Vadra has property worth Rs 3000 crore.
The complaint said that such baseless posts has tried to tarnish the image of the Congress in the midst of the Lok Sabha elections, so that the credibility of the Congress is adversely affected. This post was made with the intention of spreading hatred towards the Congress.
Sonia-Priyanka’s reputation hurt: Pramod
According to the complaint, this tweet of Anoop Verma is based on wrong facts. This has hurt the reputation of Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. The complainant has said that the false and fabricated tweets made by the said person have caused a lot of anger among the Congress workers of Himachal Pradesh as well as the general public.
Police registered a case under these sections
Case FIR No 35/24 Dtd. 13/ 05/24 U/S 153,469,500, 505 IPC, PS East, registered on the complaint of Pramod Gupta S/o Brijmohan Gupta R/o H.NO 6/3 Chhota Shimla, that on 10-5-24 at 3.22P.M FLT Lt. Anoop Verma (Retd) from his social media account Twitter handle [@ FLTL T Anoop Verma] has tweeted a misleading, false and factless post against Kumari Miraya Vadra, who is daughter of the Priyanka Vadra National General Secretary of our Political Congress Party and granddaughter of former INC President Sonia Gandhi tweeted therein that the wealth of Kumari Miraya Vadra is Rs 3000/- crore whereas the source of this wealth is only that she is the daughter of Priyanka Vadra and granddaughter of Sonia Gandhi. Anup Verma has made this tweet during the parliamentary elections so that such fake and false tweets adversely affect the credibility of INC and create a feeling of hatred towards INC in the minds of people and they may suffer losses in the elections too, claimed the complainant congressman.
