Alongwith Siddharthan has been assigned as the State Secretary of the Saffron party.
Pertinent to mention that Bindal has held this charge before also. However later he left the top party post.
In 2020, during COVID, Bindal had to resign as speaker following an alligation of being associated with a PPE kit scam. In the matter, a accused who was being termed closed aide to the former Nahan MLA was arrested. After the arrest, and due to party pressure, Bindal resigned on moral grounds.
Bindal is looked upon as a senior seasoned leader, politician, and is considered in close quarters with party National president JP Nadda.
