Himachal Pradesh’s Ritu Sood has made an impressive entry into South Indian cinema with Mass Jathara, earning praise for her intense and commanding portrayal.
The film, starring Ravi Teja and Sreeleela, features Ritu in a pivotal role as a composed yet ruthless member of a crime family plotting against law enforcement. Critics and audiences alike have lauded her “controlled expressions and strong screen presence,” noting that she added remarkable depth to the narrative.
Directed by Bhanu Bhogavarupu and produced by Sitara Entertainments, Mass Jathara was shot in Hyderabad, with action sequences choreographed by noted director Venkat Naga.
Before this, Ritu appeared in Do Patti and Bastar, where she played government and diplomatic roles, and gained recognition on television as ‘Maa Surasa’ in Shrimad Ramayan.
