Gandhi trio huddle in Shimla
Shimls, Oct 2,
In the secluded Charabra cottage amidst the serene Deodar forest, India Alliance leader Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by his sister Priyanka Vadra and mother Sonia Gandhi, huddled together. The cool climate of Shimla set the backdrop for their discussions, with Vadra’s charming bungalow serving as the venue.
Party insiders reveal that Rahul Gandhi, after a two-day stay, returned to New Delhi this morning. He embarked on a road journey to Chandigarh from Chharabra at 0730hrs. Interestingly, during his Shimla sojourn, Gandhi did not engage with any state Congress leaders.
Rahul joined mother, and sister at Chharabra on Saturday, where Vadra and Sonia had already been residing for the past week. The beautiful cottage, constructed five years ago near President Niwas The Retreat at Charabra, remains a favored destination for the Vadra family and Congress leaders Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.
During their brief stay, the trio rarely granted audiences to party leaders or senior functionaries.
