Harsh Mahajan recovering after hypoglycaemia episode, BJP leaders visit him at IGMC
Shimla, June 27,
Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Mahajan is recovering well after he was admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, following a sudden episode of hypoglycaemia while interacting with mediapersons on Saturday.
Mahajan was addressing reporters alongside BJP MLA Balbir Verma when he suddenly became unconscious. Senior BJP leaders present at the venue, including Sanjeev Sood, immediately rushed to his assistance before he was shifted to IGMC for treatment.
Doctors at the hospital diagnosed him with hypoglycaemia accompanied by dehydration and low blood pressure.
He was admitted to the Critical Care Unit for observation. According to the attending doctors, there is no heart blockage or any other cardiac ailment, and his condition is stable. He is reported to be out of danger and recovering well.
BJP Himachal Pradesh president Dr. Rajeev Bindal and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur visited Mahajan at IGMC to enquire about his health. They also met the doctors and received an update on his medical condition.
The two senior BJP leaders said party workers and well-wishers across Himachal Pradesh were concerned after learning about Mahajan’s sudden health issue. They expressed relief that he was recovering rapidly and prayed for his continued good health and long life.
Speaking from the hospital, Harsh Mahajan said he had fully recovered. “I am completely healthy now. Due to a sudden health-related issue, I had to undergo medical treatment at the hospital for a short while.
By the grace of God, the timely care provided by the doctors, and the prayers, good wishes and affection of my family, friends, well-wishers and supporters, I have now fully recovered,” he said.
Mahajan also thanked everyone who enquired about his health through phone calls, messages and other means.
“Your affection, trust and blessings are my greatest strength. I sincerely thank each one of you for your support, prayers and concern,” he said.
The BJP also prayed for Mahajan’s speedy recovery from the health complications caused by low blood sugar and wished him good health.
