The spokesperson further clarified that due to a slight delay in issuing the notification, some farmers may have received electricity bills reflecting temporarily increased rates. However, he assured that corrective measures have been put in place. “The excess amount recovered from the farmers will be adjusted in their upcoming bills,” he added.
Reiterating the government’s stand, the spokesperson emphasized that the welfare of farmers remains a top priority. “The present state government is taking all necessary and effective steps to support the farming community, and this electricity subsidy is a step in that direction,” he stated.
The move has been widely welcomed by farming groups, who believe that such support will help them manage rising input costs and maintain sustainable agricultural practices.
