Shimla, May 15
On Tuesday, the Himachal Pradesh High Court issued hand notices to Congress MLAs Bhuvneshwar Gaur and Sanjay Awasthi in the case of cancellation of FIR registered against Rakesh Sharma, father of independent MLAs Ashish Sharma and Chaitanya Sharma and former Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand. The court has asked the defendants to present their case by May 24.
The petitioners had demanded from the court that notice should be given to the defendants in this case, because without hearing them the court cannot cancel the FIR. The court of Justice Bipin Chandra Negi is hearing the case. The next hearing will be held on May 24.
Let us tell you that the police has registered this case on the complaint letter of Congress MLA and Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi and MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur. Congress MLAs Ashish Sharma and Rakesh Sharma have alleged that horse-trading has taken place on a large scale in connection with the Rajya Sabha elections. Not only this, the Finance Bill could not be passed in the budget session and a conspiracy was also hatched to destabilize the state government. Helicopters, paramilitary forces and vehicles were used to oust the state government from power.
Independent MLA Ashish Sharma and former Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand Rakesh Sharma have filed a petition in the High Court against these allegations. In this, both of them have demanded the court to cancel the FIR.
