Himachal Pradesh High court issuing fresh roster for its functioning decided to conduct court proceeding through Video Conferencing with effect from May 18 onward.
A order issued by the Registrar General of HP High Court here today stated it.
Monday onward Principal Division Bench would assemble in the Court whereas Division Bench-I shall conduct the proceedings through video conferencing and Division Bench(DB)-Il, will assemble in the Court.
Single Bench(SB)-I, would conduct the proceedings through video conferencing whereas Single Bench-Il, would assemble in the Court. SB-111, would assemble in the Court whereas SB -IV, shall conduct the proceedings through video conferencing.SB -V, would assemble in the Court whereas Single Bench-VI, shall conduct the proceedings through video conferencing.
SB -VII, would assemble in the Court whereas Single Bench-VIII, shall conduct the proceedings through video conferencing.
On Tuesday, the Principal Division Bench shall conduct the proceedings through video conferencing whereas DB -I, will assemble in the Court and Division Bench-Il, shall conduct the proceedings through video conferencing.
SB-I, would assemble in the Court whereas Single Bench-Il, shall conduct the proceedings through video conferencing.
SB-111, shall conduct the proceedings through video conferencing whereas Single Bench-IV, will assemble in the Court.SB-V, shall conduct the proceedings through video conferencing whereas Single Bench-VI, will assemble in the Court.SB-VII, shall conduct the proceedings through video conferencing whereas Single Bench-VIII, will assemble in the Court.
This cycle of roster would continue and physical filing of new cases shall start with scrutiny of the cases shall be done by the branch after three days of the filing of the case. In case of urgent matter(s), which are required to be listed on the same or on the next day, the cases shall be filed by e-mail as well as by filing the hard copy by giving an undertaking that the e-mail , so filed is the exact scanned copy of the hard copy.
There shall be no exemption in scrutiny under the Himachal Pradesh High Court (Scrutiny, Maintenance of Judicial Records, Administrative and Executive Business) Rules, 1997, it clarified.
The instructions regarding social distancing issued by this Court as well as by the Competent Authorities are to be adhered in letter and spirit as No person other than the lawyers and court staff shall enter the premises unless directed by the Court, reads the order.
All Class-I and Class-Il Officers of the Registry shall attend office on all working days. Roster of other employees shall be prepared in such a manner that 30 per cent of the employees would attend the office every day and the remaining would work from their home and they shall not leave the station in any manner.
In order to compensate the loss of Judicial time, due to imposition of lockdown, curfew and prohibitory orders under Section 144 Cr.P.C., the High Court shall work for two hours more daily in addition to the normal Court working hours till further orders.
