The Himachal Pradesh High Court has elevated 11 advocates to the rank of Senior Advocate, as per a notification issued recently.
This designation recognizes their expertise and contributions to the legal field.
Among those designated is Anshul Bansal, counsel for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Peeyush Verma, recently elected as the President of the Himachal Pradesh High Court Bar Association (HPHCBA), has also been elevated. Verma’s election and his new designation as a Senior Advocate reflect his active role and growing prominence within the legal fraternity.
Newly designated Senior Advocates includes Anshul Bansal,
Balram Sharma, Kashmir Singh Thakur, Neeraj Sharma, Peeyush Verma, Subhash Sharma, Suneet Goel, Sunil Mohan Goel, Tara Singh Chauhan, Vijay Kumar Arora and Viplav Sharma.
This elevation grants special privileges to the designated advocates and raises their standing in the hierarchy of the legal profession, creating opportunities for younger counsel to advance.
These appointments are expected to strengthen the legal community in Himachal Pradesh, contributing to a more robust judicial system.
