Himachal Pradesh Police issued an advisory for the tourists coming to the state in large numbers after relaxation in the Corona Curfew warning them that repeated offenders could be fined upto Rs 5000 and may face arrest for not wearing a mask or not following social distancing norms.
A press note issued by state police said that they welcome all tourists visiting the state after the end of Corona Curfew. However, all tourists arriving in Himachal are advised to wear masks, practice social distancing and follow Covid related guidelines issued by the State Govt.
Police warned the tourists that first time offenders would be fined Rs 500 under sec 144 & 115 of
Himachal Pradesh Police Act 2007. The repeated offenders may be arrested and sent to the court and they may face upto eight days imprisonment or fine fo Rs 5000 or both.
All the tourists are requested to kindly follow all Covid guidelnes in letter and spirit during their stay in the state, added the police.
