A HP Waqf Board estate officer was nabbed red handed, taking bribe. The State Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau Shimla sleuth today arrested State Waqf Board Law Officer Sadil while taking bribe of Rs 80,000 on complaint of a victim. According to SV& ACB Officer Sadik was demanding Rs 1.25 lakh bribe for renewal of lease of a Waqf property at lower bazar, Shimla.
Rs 25000 were already paid to the accused and he was seeking Rs one lakh more. He was caught red handed when complainant handed over Rs 80k to him. The Vigilance had casted a web for the accused. He was nabbed by officers as soon as he took the money. Now he was being interrogated for the further involvement in similar crime.. Accused was being booked under various Prohibition of Corruption Act .
